On 04 July 2019, Kantenwein hosted a roundtable discussion with the title „Arbitration in Latin America: Current Hot Topics“. Nico Köppel and Lisa Maria Oettig from our Dispute Resolution Team had organized the event together with Svenja Wachtel (senior associate at Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP in Munich, second from left) and Diana Gárate (senior manager at Ernst & Young Law in Lima, Peru, second from right).

Nadine Lederer (senior associate at HoganLovells in Munich, on the right) and Diana Gárate discussed hot topics in arbitration in Germany and Latin America, the influence of corruption on the arbitration scene in Latin America and how digitalization influences and will be influencing arbitration proceedings in Germany and Latin America. Svenja Wachtel moderated the discussion. The audience participated actively in the discussions and visibly enjoyed exchanging thoughts and experiences with our Peruvian guest. The conversation continued over dinner where the participants also had the opportunity for further networking.
