We are proud to announce that our Salary Partner Nico Köppel will take over – together with Dr. Daniel Engel (Hengeler Müller) – the coordination of the DIS40 Regional Group Munich. We congratulate Nico Köppel on this new role and are looking forward to many interesting events!

The DIS40 is an initiative of young arbitration practitioners under the auspices of the German Arbitration Institute (DIS). The initiative is the leading forum for German arbitration practitioners below 40 to network and exchange practical experiences. The Regional Coordinators of the DIS40 organise the local activities of the initiative. Among these activities is the coordination of regular networking and advanced training events. The Regional Group Munich belongs – together with Frankfurt – to the most vital groups of the DIS40.

Nico Köppel joined our Commercial Dispute Resolution team in 2014. His focus is on national and international arbitration. He is both active as arbitrator as well as party representative. As a former participant in the Vis Moot competition, Mr. Köppel also heads the corresponding activities of our firm. He started his career at Kantenwein after his legal clerkship, which included a traineeship at one of the leading dispute resolution firms in Brazil. Mr. Köppel studied law at the Humboldt University in Berlin and subsequently completed an LL.M. degree at King's College in London. You can read more about Mr. Köppel's profile here.
