The 17th Petersberger Schiedstage took place on 22/23 February 2019. This year, the renowned arbitration conference was held again at Bensberg Castle in Bergisch Gladbach. The event provides a comprehensive overview of the latest developments in the field. Arbitrators, party counsels, academics, and in-house counsels discuss current trends and their personal experiences. It is where the industry's top people come together.

As usual, we were present with our dispute resolution team at the conference. The conference focused on “Modern Case Management and effects of digitalization (legal tech)“. In several presentations and discussions speakers and participants highlighted current questions regarding efficiency of arbitral proceedings as well as potential effects of digitalization and artificial intelligence. With regard to the latter, the developments are still unfolding. Only one thing is for certain: We will stay tuned.
